New Chapters

It's been a while since I have updated this blog, but I feel as if I have so much to catch up on. I can't believe it's almost May. It just feels like yesterday I was starting the spring semester. So much will be happening next month such as AP exams, graduation, and of course my original work. My original work has been going well. I have all my research done and I’m ready to begin my paper. I have also been thinking about adding something to my original work. I've been thinking about adding a self-made brochure to my original work as well. Many people may not be interested in my process of writing a research paper and I want to make sure my original work leaves an impact on me as a person and all I have learned this past year, plus I absolutely love to design and I think it will be great incorporation of my skill set. I also had my second meeting with Dr. Stokes. It went really well. In this meeting, I asked him questions about how to write a good research paper. Although she didn't have too much knowledge on the input, she did give me input on a writing one. She gave me two key points: don't put your reader to sleep and be interested in what you write. I think this advice really did help me have a better understanding of how to be a better writer when constructing this type of paper. I also stopped by to pick up a book from Dr. Stokes today. She called me last week and told me about it and how she thinks it will help me with my original work. I’m very excited to read it and even more thankful she recommended it to me. I can't wait to start this week!
