Mentor Check

It’s here. I finally did it. I finally have gotten the object of my desire this past semester in ISM. Ladies and gentlemen . . . I have finally secured a mentor and it’s none other than Dr. Kathleen D. Stokes. I've never been surrounded with such joy. Words can not express how happy and relieved I am. To be honest, I was starting to get really overwhelmed with the feeling of never finding a mentor. In the past semester, I would spend all class period talking to other pediatricians but was always with the words “no” or “not interested”. I was so overwhelmed with worry that I was so afraid Dr. Stokes would also respond with no, but to my surprise she completely agreed to be my mentor. I feel so honored and privileged to have her be my mentor. She is so very kind and has such an interesting background, not to mention she is also very funny. I can wait to have her with me on my road down ISM this semester and I can't wait to learn new things along the way and even learn new things about myself. This new year is already off to a pretty amazing start!
