Under A Rock

Wow, time truly does fly by when you're busy. I mean on top of applying to schools, working on scholarships, finalizing the yearbook, keeping up with school, and staying on top of my original work, I sometimes feel like I’m under a lot of pressure, like a ton of rocks has fallen on top of me, but it's ok. I know this may sound strange, but sometimes I like to be stressed. Again I know that sounds weird, but sometimes I like the feeling of making to-do lists and having deadlines. I know things will soon get easier and clear up in no time. This week, we are giving short five minute speeches in class. I haven't really decided on a topic. On one hand, I would love to talk about the Asian lifestyle and how it differs from the American lifestyle, but on the other, I would love to talk about the countries my family are from, Ireland and Ghana, and how their cultures have shaped me into the person I am today. Whatever topic I choose, I know I will sincerely enjoy it, as long as I don't have any surprise visits from our principal to catch me off guard again.
